Privacy Policy
Effective date: January 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Meme Court (“we”, “us”, or “the Service”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the Service.
1. Overview
Meme Court is a blockchain-integrated application. Most interactions involve public blockchain data. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible.
We do not require accounts, emails, or passwords.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Wallet addresses you connect or submit (public blockchain identifiers).
- On-chain transaction data (e.g., case deposits, votes), which is publicly visible on the Solana blockchain.
- User-submitted content such as case titles, narratives, evidence links, and votes.
- Basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, or request metadata when interacting with our servers or APIs.
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not intentionally collect:
- Names, emails, phone numbers, or mailing addresses
- Government-issued identifiers
- Private keys, seed phrases, or wallet credentials
- Payment card or banking information
Never share private keys or seed phrases with anyone. We will never ask for them.
4. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Operate and display cases, votes, and evidence
- Verify deposits and prevent spam or abuse
- Maintain platform integrity and security
- Analyze usage trends to improve the Service
- Comply with legal obligations if required
5. Blockchain Transparency
Blockchain data is inherently public. Wallet addresses, transactions, and balances may be visible to anyone via block explorers.
We cannot modify, delete, or hide blockchain records, even if related data is removed from our interface.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers, including but not limited to:
- Wallet providers (e.g., Phantom, Solflare)
- RPC providers (e.g., Solana infrastructure services)
- Block explorers linked from the UI
These services have their own privacy policies. We do not control how they collect or use data.
7. Evidence Links and External Content
Evidence may include links to third-party websites, social platforms, images, or transaction explorers.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices, tracking, or content of third-party sites. Clicking external links is at your own risk.
8. Data Retention
We retain user-submitted content and platform data for as long as necessary to operate the Service, enforce rules, or comply with legal obligations.
Blockchain data cannot be deleted due to the nature of decentralized ledgers.
9. Cookies and Analytics
We may use minimal cookies or local storage for basic functionality (such as remembering UI preferences).
Any analytics used are intended to be privacy-respecting and limited to aggregate usage metrics.
10. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data under our control.
However, no system is completely secure. You use the Service at your own risk.
11. Your Choices
You may stop using the Service at any time by disconnecting your wallet.
Because blockchain data is public and immutable, we cannot remove on-chain records associated with your wallet.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
13. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us through the channels listed in the app or project documentation (if available).
